Another service available to a family is the option of cremation. Cremation is often selected
for its religious beliefs, ethnic customs, simplicity, or economics. Cremation offers families and their loved ones
another choice for final disposition. There are two types of cremation services available: Cremation with Funeral/Memorial
Service and Direct Cremation.
Cremation with Funeral/Memorial Service often consist of:
- Removal
of remains from the place of death
- Transportation of remains to crematory
- Filing and preparing of legal documents for cremation
- Cremation fee
- Selection of Urn and/or Cremation Vault
- Use of facilities and staff for visitation
- Use of facilities and staff for funeral/memorial service
- Use of vehicle and equipment
- Other services such as pastoral services, music, and grave opening and closing
- Other
merchandise such as register book, memorial folders, etc.
Direct
Cremation services often consist of:
- Removal of remains from the place
of death
- Transportation of remains to crematory
- Filing and preparing
of legal documents for cremation
- Cremation fee
- Return of
cremated remains to the family
