Traditional Funeral Service

The most common service chosen among those available, the traditional service provides the loved one and or the family the ability to personalize the service to his or her needs and desires.  Traditional services also provides what many feel as the most satisfying tribute to the deceased loved one.  A traditional funeral service often consist of the following:

  • Response to call and removal of deceased
  • Professional services by the funeral director and its associates
  • Embalming and prepartion of the deceased
  • Selection of casket and or urn
  • Selection of outer burial container
  • Use of facilities and funeral home staff for visitation
  • Use of facilities and funeral home staff for  funeral ceremony or memorial services
  • Use of funeral vehicles and equipment
  • Other services and items including music, pastoral services, and etc.
  • Other merchandise and associated items such as, register book, memorial folders, thank-you cards, and etc.

Cremation Service

Another service available to a family is the option of cremation. Cremation is often selected for its religious beliefs, ethnic customs, simplicity, or economics.   Cremation offers families and their loved ones another choice for final disposition.  There are two types of cremation services available: Cremation with Funeral/Memorial Service and Direct Cremation.
 
Cremation with Funeral/Memorial Service often consist of:
  • Removal of remains from the place of death
  • Transportation of remains to crematory
  • Filing and preparing of legal documents for cremation
  • Cremation fee
  • Selection of Urn and/or Cremation Vault
  • Use of facilities and staff for visitation
  • Use of facilities and staff for funeral/memorial service
  • Use of vehicle and equipment
  • Other services such as pastoral services, music, and grave opening and closing
  • Other merchandise such as register book, memorial folders, etc.
Direct Cremation services often consist of:
  • Removal of remains from the place of death
  • Transportation of remains to crematory
  • Filing and preparing of legal documents for cremation
  • Cremation fee
  • Return of cremated remains to the family

Pre-planning

Pre-planning is a individual's decision to take care of funeral services before the services are needed.  It is a written plan filed and documented with a funeral home that serves as a guide to family and friends during one of the most potential stressful and emotional experiences in their lives.
